here is a stuffed poo (teddy bear droppings) i made a couple of years ago! i made a fateful promise to a friend one day that i would give it to her when she returned from her year away from home, teaching english abroad... but when the time came, i took back my promise. guilt eventually set in and i boxed it up in a bakery/cake box and gave it to her for her birthday. now all i have is this picture. :(

These are all a little more basic than the ones I've been posting. I'm trying to get a nice mix of things. Let me know what you think!

I'm making centerpieces for NPWW (National Public Works Week) and 'decapitated' 288 crayon erasers (er, erasers shaped like crayons, I lopped the pointy end off so they'd look like little cones to use as playing pieces for the game I'm making).

The question I have is - what the heck can I do with the rest of it? (I did search and didn't see any previous entries on this) The only craft thing I know is that you can make stamps, but these would make really tiny ones, plus, I don't need 288 stamps. Sure, I could just use them as erasers, and have a lifetime supply, but I was hoping to put them to some good use.

Anyone have any brilliant ideas? :)

A picture of the eraser carnage, lj-cut for the squeamish... ;) )

Cutting perfect felt circles?

How would I go about cutting perfect circles from felt? Are there any kind of tools that would make this easier? I already have a compas style circle cutter that I use with paper, but it's no good on felt/fabric due to the thickness and ability to move around... I was thinking there might be some kind of cookie-cutter type device, with sharp edges, that would punch out circles? Help!

I keep forgetting to SHARE THESE with everyone. Please feel free to email this document to everyone and/or post it in your own journals or communities.

These homemade coin rollers work fine. I got frustrated when I ran out one day so made my own!

I read through the rules and I think this is OK to post. If not I do apologize to the mods.

I went into my local Joann's fabric store to get some fabric for the next set of costumes I am doing and found out that they had an unadvertised special that ALL clearance fabric was a dollar a yard. Yes folks that is $1.00 a yard. This sale runs through Saturday Feb. 3rd 2007. I saved a bundle on the rest of the fabric I needed for the costumes. I thought I would pass on the information to my other fabric using friends.

As you may have guessed, I have a bit of a 'thing' for mermaids...

well, about two weeks ago, I decided to start attempting to create one of my own.
I've been working on the details since then and finally finished her on Sunday evening.

I'd like to introduce you all to:

It's been forever since I used this community, but once again I've gotten myself stuck on an idea.
I've been searching the internet and in-store patterns, and nothing is coming up, so hopefully someone on here has much better internet skills than I or even just has an idea they'd be willing to share.

I'm desperatly trying to make a little stuffed bird.
Just a simple little thing.

I tried drawing up my own, but that is NOT working out...
From what I can think of I would need 4 pieces in order to make the bird rounded and a little more 3-D. Possibly 3.
But every time I make a pattern, or cut one, it just won't fit together.

So if anyone has ANY ideas at all, please, please PLEASE let me know.
