I was just wondering - what items have you found that aren't really meant for scrapbooking, but work great in a scrapbook

I've got paint samples (both textured & non) that I use my hole punches on, & I also bought some mini origami papers (2"x2") that I put behind letter stickers to brighten up the page
there's also origami strips that are made to use stars, & I use them as borders

I'm looking forward to hearing other people's discoveries :)

Well first off Buzz Lightyear is my kiddos fave supherhero of all time.

So I had a pair of his summer jammies (picture shirt and retro rocketship pattern shorts) that no longer fit, but had only been worn a few times before he grew outta them.Aka they were almost like new.

It seemed like such a waste to throw them away (well okay donate them) so I came up w/this.....

The 'Buzz'pillow....

back detail )

All I did was bought a plain little throw pillow, and covered one side w/the front of the shirt and the other w/the fabric from the shorts. It was a bit tricky as I am not a great seamstress and all (it was hand sewn) but I think it came out okay.;p

Anyhow, just wanted to share.:)

does anyone have any tips on how to achieve a wall look like this? I know I could stencil it but it's so intricate and I'm not that steady a stencil-er.

or maybe just some wallpaper or wrapping paper on a wall? I'm painting my room a lighter purple shade and I want one wall different from the rest. if I go the paper route, I know there are just rolls of paper that aren't wallpaper, more like gift wrap that I could use. but where could i get it in such patterns?

here's what my room is currently like:

that's the main wall behind me, and the other three walls are green. it took forever to paint and I love it but I've had it for over a year and I'm ready for a slightly duller shade. haha. I appreciate any tips or advice!

ps. I did look through the memories about stenciling but I didn't see any advice to doing an entire wall.
