Hey guys!

I've been cleaning my craft room and will have tons of pictures soon...but until then...

I screenprinted a few tees and made some push pins for my cork board.

Hey there crafties! I need some help finishing a present that I've made for my friend's birthday, and so far I've had no luck finding what I need.
I need to know if a)cross stitch material (with or without stitching on it) can be ironed if I'm really careful and b)what would be the best way to frame it so it's nice and taut but doesn't show staples or anything?

Once I get it all framed, I'll put a picture up here, I promise.

I am the first to admit, that I can't draw, can't paint, but I can doodle.  Combine doodling and a ruined T-shirt and you get:

Can you sew through duct tape? I want to add a zipper to a duct tape bag i've made, and i don't think attaching the zipper with just tape will be strong enough. I also don't want to gum up and ruin my sewing machine :(

i've been bogged down with knitting a scarf i haven't done much else. so tonight i took a break and did come crocheting...

anyways, the amigurumi....blueberry we'll call it, is actually technically terrible, but still aesthetically cute :P

there there is a WIP pic of my scarf behind the cut as well, and some painting...

I have looked everywhere, but most sites about double crochet are about just how to make a dc...

instructions:
row 2:   ch 3 (counts as first dc), (skip 1 dc, dc) 4 times ...

when you start a new row with a dc, you skip the first stitch.  in this case, does it mean to skip the first two stitches? or just stay the same, take the usual path and skip only the first stitch since the ch counts as the first dc?

thanks.

this pattern is from Ruthie Marks' s Crochet in Bloom design - Blush Capelet
