I made a couple of earrings for myself last night (ok, so I made them for my Etsy shop, but there's no way I'm giving these up now, I love them!). Why three? Well, originally I had planned to wear one of the cup ones with the teabag one, but decided, there may be days that I may want matching, rather than coordinating, earrings instead.

I chose the beads because I thought they were reminiscent of sugar cubes. Overall, they just delight me, and I'm wearing them today already.

Has anyone tried folding this butterfly? I've tried folding it, and I get stuck on step 5, where there's an attempt at making it clearer.

Any tips?

Its my first time posting though I've been lurking!

I just made this pair of earrings a few days ago and love them to bits. I have had those czech glass hearts for the longest time but just could not figure out what to do with them. Then with a stroke of inspiration I settled for this!

Comments anyone?

I wish the map I made this with had covered more area so that I could do another book!

I thought I'd share the place where I get my really nice snaps.  I just took advantage of the exchange rate, as well as the absolute number price difference (e.g. a book in Canada costs $12, but the price in US dollars on the same jacket is $8, and the exchange rate hasn't been at 60ยข for a LONG time -- GRR), and ordered 600 snaps from them.  Even after I've paid duty on the snaps, they'll still be cheaper than I could have found here in Canada.  SnapSource has pretty good prices online for their sets of 50 ($9 USD in the "online only" section), and fast shipping.

AND... they have a great page of links to other sewing and notions sites people here may be interested in, including sewing.org for information on becoming a "sewing educator".

I love the snaps just because it's so much fun to sew with a hammer.  (posted in [info]sew_hip, [info]craftgrrl and [info]quilting)

I've recently started to enjoy making my own things.  I've started making Earrings because I realized that many of the earrings being sold on the market can easily be made.  So here are some of my creations.  I'm just a beginner s don't be too hard on me!! :P

I have the worst luck. Or I have no skills, who knows.
Anywho - I have this project that is getting much more complicated than I meant it to.

And now I'm wondering:
Can I use rubber cement glue to stick regular computer paper to something covered in masking tape?

I really don't feel like trying to find out the hard way.

I love you people!
Thanks in advance. ^_^
