Yesssss I've been a busy girl, and have finally made some more progress! I managed to get more done in the past two weeks than I have in the past three years since I started this project! I also have a question as to methods, if you guys wouldn't mind lending me a hand!

I made this doll for autumn. THe head is made out of paperclay and hand painted, the neck is a painted popsical stick, the body is maroon felt, arms are tan pipe cleaners, legs are twigs and it is deorated with autumn silk leaves and funky yarn.

I just read about this the other day in my local newspaper and I thought it would really be of interest for those Ontario Crafters out there.

October 26-28th of this year is the CreativFestival taking place in Toronto.

They have everything from fastest knitter competitions, fashion shows, booths displaying the latest in crafting supplies and techniques, to demos and Q & A sessions and more.

For more info the link is: CreativFestival

There is a ton of info about everything that is going on, but I figure that's what the website link is for! Ticket prices and group rates etc. can be found under Registration - apparently an option is to buy your ticket at Shoppers Drug Mart.

I hope some of you find this helpful!

When I went in for knee surgery a couple of months back I figured I use the recovery time to get a head start on my xmas knitting. And then I started this, which with the exception of a couple pairs of trigger finger mitts worked mostly on my lunch hours, has been lording over my 5mm needles till this afternoon.

ok, so i have this screenprinting kit:
http://www.dharmatrading.com/html/eng/2164-AA.shtml?lnav=tools.html

still in the box...
i read the instructions once, realized that maybe it was too big of an operation to carry out in my dorm room... and then put it away for two years.

NOW, graduated and all, I want to whip it out and get to work.

My questionnnn
I want to start printing on paper/making cards...
will this set work for this?

maybe with different inks?

I went to Wal-Mart today & they have the little cords to make cellphone charms, so I bought some of those & some different charms. I am rather excited that I found myself a inexpensive craft to make that I can also sell for a low price. I'm going to give a flip-flop one to my friend for her bday - she is nuts about flip-flops. And the cords were cheaper at Wal-Mart rather than A.C. Moore (Wal-Mart was 1.97 & had colored cords where the Moore had just black for 2.99) Hopefully they sell well because to buy them all made in a store is rather pricey, so here is hoping. . I'm thinking $2 or so. . .

I also wanted to buy some candles and decorate them, my Mom has a cookbook/craft book for Halloween & they have Egyptian decorated candles that you use pins & brads, but the Brads were rather expensive & I couldn't find the ones I was looking for. . But to buy all the supplies to make it I would have to sell them at a rather high price.

Where would you find a hot image press *I guess thats what it would be called* you know to transfer images to shirts & such. . I went to a craft fair once and this lady was making shirts right there, you picked the design & shirt and she put it on right there. . That would be a pretty cool thing to do, because alot of people getting shirts. .

Sorry for the ramble, I've had a long long day of shopping!
