Anybody have tips for how to paint on the lid of a tin? (Think like, cookie tin.)

I want to make another set of 80's TV finger puppets (like my Golden Girls set) - This time "The Facts of Life." - But I'm having a hell of a time finding decent pictures of the girls to print out for the heads... And I bought a really 80's looking triangular pink tin to put them in, but I have no idea what'd be best to paint the title on it...

Help? Anyone have good high-quality pics of the 'Facts girls, and/or tin lid painting/lettering advice?

Not long ago I was ordered to make a cat pendant of beads. I loomed one, but it seemed not quite right to me, 'cose it wasn't enough smooth. So I decided to make another one, woven in peyote stitch. It's not my favourite technique for it takes much more time than looming, but the result was at last exactly what I wanted. And it became a pendant.

I love these colors and textures together. Sleek faux snakeskin + soft, rich lokta.

I've just come into a lot of upholstery fabric and I'm thinking of making a bunch of those warmer pillows and hand warmers like the young lady posted here the other day.

I offhandedly mentioned this project to my horticulture professor (because I was talking about walking over to the feed store that is next to our classroom to get some of the feeder corn for filling) Where-upon she knitted her brow and said that she didn't think the corn or flax seed would be a good idea. and I asked why it was the filling most commonly recommended on the web. She started talking about how lax seed and corn have high oil content and she would worry about the oil in the going rancid and spoiling the pillow.

She said that Rice doesn't have much oil so it would be a good choice, and she also brought up buckwheat hulls. I have buckwheat hulls I just didn't know if they could be used and would retain heat like the rest.

Any of you have any comment on any of this? Thanks ahead of time.

Help?

I'm trying to find pre made Candy/Dessert charms but I'm having no luck.I went on ebay and all I see are lots of the same "candy." Joanns just showed me charms for scrapbooking.

I'm looking for lollipops, cupcakes, ice creams, gum drops, etc.

I'm trying to make a Candy Tiara. I was watching an episode of some style show and these little girls has headbands with candy charms. I want them on a tiara.

Thanks. If all else fails, I'll just search for how to's with that clay stuff I keep seeing posts about.

How would you make a tire track across a shirt? Like to look as if the shirt had been run over?
Is there maybe a stencil? I'm not even sure how to google that.

The reason I am asking (in case any one else is in this area) is that Raleigh, NC is having a ZOMBIE WALK where a large group of people dress up as zombies and roam the streets. I have my heart set on being a "run over zombie"

I've always been really curious about how to glitter things in a higher quality finer way. I got hooked watching martha this afternoon because she had the Glitter lady on and showed how to make some really lovely Halloween favours with glitter and things around the house.

So I decided to go out and buy myself an early birthday present. Buying these rather expensive glitters and glue is a bit of an investment but gives a really love finished quality. The only thing I'm really hoping that happens is that the glitter does not easily rub off.

Here's my purchase and the charms I started glittering today.

Now, I'm not usually such a fan of Martha's stuff but I find that her Halloween crafts are really whimsical and suck me into a consuming fit of purchasing glitter :D

I just want to attack and glitter everything really. I'm so excited. My cat is avoiding me for fear of glitter!

creepy clown puppet2

Pinhole polaroid of a clown puppet I got at an estate sale. It looks like a dog (or kid) bit his nose off.
