I recently acquired access to an awesome laser engraving machine. JACKPOT!
now i need your help- can you think of any materials that would be thin enough to cut out names & other semi complicated shapes to make charm necklaces & bracelets? the machine can't work on metal so anything else come to mind? all i can think of is shrinky dinks but i'd prefer to not have to color it in.
I don't know if any of you have found this before, but I just discovered this link for glue selection. It gives the name of the glue (an extensive list, but not complete), details about it and what it'll hold. Very handy.
can you buy blocks of glycerin for soap making at michaels? id really like to try it and michaels and joanns are pretty much the only craft store that i know of here.
My sister will become an aunt sometime before Christmas and I wanted to include something extra-sisterly or "aunt-ish" in our gift exchange this year. She's only 16, so I'm at a loss for ideas. Does anything come to mind?
I'm sorry--this will be text-only but hopefully brief! I want to personalize some rain gear for riding my bike, and I wanted to know if there is such a thing as reflective spray-paint? And if so, where do I get it? Thanks!
How do you sew on vinyl? Whenever I try to sew on the vinyl it just pokes holes into it and that's it. I'm pretty sure I have the machine threaded properly.
What I'm trying to make is a simple cuff bracelet. Something similiar to this.
I checked the memories and the closest thing I found was altoid/aol tins, so I apologize if this is repeat in any way.
Anyhow, I'm in the market for a hipflask and have seen some really cool ones, but they either aren't affordable, or take weeks to be mailed. My boyfriend suggested customizing one myself.
I'm looking at probably painting it because I want it to do a brightly colored geometric design. Has anyone done this? What type of paint did you use and were there any problems with condensation or temperature affecting the paint? An alternative that may be easier in terms of execution of a design would be making the design on paper and then decoupaging it on. My concern is that this could be even less stable than the paint if wet or cold from the contents. Anyone tried this method?
