Jan. 16th, 2008 02:47 pmHubby's sister is having a birthday next week so here is the card I made for her. I made the closures by using brads and two sizes of circle punch from Creative Memories. I tied pink string to one side so I could wrap the string to the other to close the card. I think I like this card, I like the tri-fold idea. I got a whole bunch of new stamps and paper and love trying them out.

summer bag
Jan. 16th, 2008 03:24 pmI posted my first attempts at embroidery a few days ago.
Some of you asked me what I´m gonna do with it and - here it is.
I had some of this yellow fabric left from sewing new kitchen curtains.
It´s lined in natural cotton.

Quick Question
Jan. 16th, 2008 04:19 pmI work for a Forest Preserve and we're launching a Green Team Program. As part of the program, I offered to create a box, much like I have at home, for people to put there plastic grocery bags in so that others who want to re-use them for other purposes may do so. I know a lot of us use them to clean up after our pets =) but our recycling program doesn't accept them.
Now, here is my question. To make the box, I simply took a big box that was going to be recycled for the paper towels, sealed all of the sides to make it more sturdy, and cut a large hole in the front of it. Because it's going to be sitting in the lunch room, I wanted to decorate it a little. I covered it with a newspaper collage using rubber cement. Does anyone have any ideas on how to seal this a little better? I think that I will use some packing tape along the edges and around the hole, but I seriously don't think that our Supplies department would let me cover the whole thing in tape =). Not to mention, that would be a huge waste. Do you have any other ideas to make the newspaper stand up to it being pushed around, ect., in the lunch room?

Jan. 16th, 2008 07:22 pmI've commented from time to time but never really posted anything...
Here's a bit of the jewelry I've made in the past few months.
Unfortunately it's slow going because I'm working and in school full time. Ugh!

Project Earring
Jan. 16th, 2008 07:38 pmI saw this project somewhere a long time ago and finally had a chance to do it. I am especially pleased that all the supplies were found-nothing was bought. The ribbon was just lying around from some bathset I got at Christmas.

Crafter of the Week
Jan. 16th, 2008 11:10 pmI don't know if this can be posted here, but I thought it could be interesting to some people, so, if not, just let me know and I'll delete it!

I've been interviewed by Caishnah from Shescrafty for her first Crafter of the Week feature. You can read the full article here! I've made a reference to this community, actually eheh. Also, every Monday I post an interview made to a craft girl whose work I like and admire in my journal, feel free to check those as well :-)
