its my best friend's birthday next week, so since she is alice in wonderland mad we are having a mad hatters tea party. we've got all that stuff covered, however we decided it would look awesome if we had a heap of alice inspired paintings around.

so onwards to the paintings!

hey all

please welcome to the knitted fold: Sackboy, from the upcoming playstation game Brave New World.

he is so cute, but then i think i love all the guys i knit.

he even got famous, on a website http://www.kotaku.com.au/games/2008/03/aussiemade_knitted_sackboy.html which is nice and flattering, but they dont mention my name, which is a shame. most stuff i see up on the web like that is credited, but then i guess it's a gaming site and not a craft site and they probably didnt think to do it. it does make me think that i should put a copyright notice on all the photos since they've just nicked it from the website.

has anyone else had this problem? or do most people use a watermark on their photos?

My free Rowenta Iron that mysteriously stopped working a week ago was miraculously fixed by his infinite skill and knowledge. Most times, I would take it as a loss and a) revert back to my cheap Walmart iron or b) go out and spend $100 on a new Rowenta iron because now that I've discovered Rowenta, it's hard to use anything less.

Just so this isn't a "look how awesome my husband is" post, here's the most recent bag I made for a woman in my local MOMS club:

I realize this isn't exactly craft related, but I thought you lovely ladies may be able to help me, since what I'm asking about is technically in the Craft section at Target and I've heard lots of scrapbookers especially rave about it.

That being said, does anyone have any experience with JetMax Modular Storage?

I stumbled upon the in Target and wanted to make a desk set out of them as I am sorely in need of storage my old desk is shot.

But, I started to wonder after seeing some sizing discrepancies on their Amazon.com listing. Does it matter which ones I get and put together? I realize a few are half-sizes, so two make a regular sized cube. But a few of Amazon's listings had them 14.5" deep to 15". I realize .5" isn't a lot, but I don't want to go through hassle of buying certain ones and then they not fit correctly.

Also, do they hold up well? And does anyone know where I can get the actual desktop that goes with it? It doesn't seem to be anywhere on Target or Amazon.com, though I've seen people mention they bought it or didn't need it.

I've been playing with silver fumed glass. It's so amazing what can come out of it!

Today I made one more Easter card. This one for my Sweetie. I layered it so it is three dimentional. I don't know that it shows up that well in the photo though. But I sure liked this little bunny, so I made her mine to give away.

Thanks for looking.

i've been designing more and more outfits that are really skins (the british teen drama) and just british in general inspired, and some retro things. my problem being, i've really got no set idea on how to go about them without ruining the limited amount of fabric and cloth i am allowed, and since i will be hand-sewing most of them i can't afford to make mistakes. if any of you could please refer me to some areas where i can get patterns, or if you can give me a general idea of something to do i'd really appreciate it! and i have searched the memories, but i am a bit ditzy so if i've missed something please feel free to point it out to me!

Hooking?

So I have this little car plate (like, the marking off the car - in this case, a toyota) thing that someone very special gave me last night. It's basically the same size as a dog tag.

I want to make it into a pendant and hook it onto a nice long chain so that it almost sits like real dog tags.

How would you do this? I was thinking of maybe getting a coat of plastic around it to protect it, but I wouldn't even know where to go to get that done.

I'm sorry if this is very vague.

Sorry for making this a text only post, but I though you guys could help me out with this.

But what would I use to turn something that is brass colored into something that is silver plated pewter colored?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
