bunny made from a pair of gloves acquired at a japanese yen shop (~1.50). hat is made from scraps of the glove band, eyes are buttons, and the little green tooth is felt.

cat and dog - cat is made from a pair of striped socks with a cat on them, dog is made from a pair of white gloves picked up at a japanese yen shop. one of the eyes is a playstation controller button held on with a piece of felt. other eye and nose are buttons. shirt is the top of a legwarmer i got at the same yen shop.

The last time I was in North Beach, I saw the most amazingly beautiful coat... which happened to cost a couple hundred dollars (no thank you!). This is my attempt to recreate it using Cyan houndstooth instead of Orange Plaid. I heavily modified an old pattern from my grandma and used a giant remnant from the remnant bin and vintage gold buttons, also from my grandma. Overall this probably cost about $6.

Basically, I absolutely love this.

Here are a few new paintings for the gallery showing The first one is of a crow in front of the night sky. I like how it turned out but at one point I had the sky how I really wanted it then I kept playing with it and ended up over working it. It took a lot of time working it to get it to a point where I liked it again (It doesn't look much like it originally did)

I like being short. Though it does have its draw backs (not being able to get the peanut butter out the top shelf for one) and one is driving. More the fact I have just bought my first car and it's old and it doesn't have a gidget that means I can move the seat up. So I have resorted to a cushion when I'm driving.

My Mum bought me a cushion but it was frilly and white and no good to be sat on all the time so I decided to make a cushion cover for it. I won't be working in leatherette for a while, it's a nightmare when you don't have the machine feet to make it easier.

My easter bunny! My third ami. It's not at all as cute as I wanted it to be, and since I promised my boyfriend to make another one in white and grey, I'll do that, and make the ears twice as long, and lengthen the arms a bit. I'll get there.

This post is with a free language lesson: Vrolijk Pasen is Dutch for...: Happy easter! Duh!

Awhile back, I made a potato cannon out of PVC pipe. The last time I used it, I forgot to rinse out the cap. The hairspray (which I was using as lighter fluid) in the cap dried, and now I can't unscrew the cap.

How do I dissolve the hairspray and unstick the cap? Is it even possible?

(And in case you're wondering what this has to do with crafting, perhaps you recall this. I'm doing a different project this year, which I'll be testing tomorrow.)

The shop I usually buy my chinchilla hammocks from shut down so I decided to make my own. I just traced around the old hammock, sewed them up, and added the grommets and clips. It was a very quick and easy project. They're a little wonky since I'm a terrible sewer, but they work just the same!

One more under the cut. )
