Hello All,

I have misplace my link for the website that has lots of crochet flower patterns. I had it about a year ago, but since have changed my internet provider and all my links have disappeared...you know that makes me happy. Anyway, if any of you lovely ladies know the site I'm talking about, could you please give it to me again?

Now that I have a new camera (one that has not been touched by the kid that broke the prior 2), I will be able to manage to post pictures of all my crochet creations...or atleast the ones that were not made for presents for other people...aka the ones I made for me and the Camera breaking Kid.

Thanks a bunch in advance,
Abby

I am trying to figure out what I can do to help organize my mother's gardening tools! Hopefully you all have some great ideas!

She has countless hoes, shoves, rakes, etc., but at the moment they are all leaning up against random fence posts. The garden is triangular-shaped, up against the deck and the house on two sides. There are two entrances at the two free corners. The plan is to pack this garden with as many vegetables as possible, so putting any type of rack on the deck or the house will mean trampling plants. The entrances are gated and the fence is 8' high to keep deer out. I am thinking that the side of the fence that is facing outside of the garden would be a good place to hang up some sort of a rack to hang tools, but that's about it! Any smart ideas?

My mother loves windchimes, decorations, etc.--the decks are covered! The garden is BARE. I thought about a hummingbird feeder, but that attracts bees. I was also thinking about those neat tin can lanterns people make, but it isn't exactly practical out in the garden. What do you ladies with green thumbs do?

Thanks!!!

i can't paint my apt that makes me =(
i randomly discovered wall decals last year and i NEED some.
however, i think $30+ for what amounts to a big sticker is ridiculous.
plus, i'm a craftgrrl so i desire customization.

i have googled like a maniac this afternoon and not turned up one single lead on colored low tack (lo-tac) adhesive vinyl. i have found clear and white and that's it.

i'm afraid to email the people on etsy to see where they get their vinyl from. does anybody have any leads on that?

sorry for the text only.

So much for productiveness today. Only finished 2 pieces, a bracelet and a necklace. And as promised (more to myself than to anyone really), no matching sets (at least for the next few days) XD

hello everyone. i've always been creative, but i'm very new to crafting. just never had the time before, but now i do! but here is my question.

so i have a little wood end table thing. very basic. i want to basically make it my own custom one, using pictures, postcards and stickers and basically make it a collage on the table. i just don't know how to glue the stuff onto the table and seal it well enough for it to last.

so i ask you this, what is the process i need to go through to achieve this? my mom said she's pretty sure decoupage is what i need to do, but i just want to know if that's right. i can look through the memories to find out how to do that, obviously, i just want to make sure i'm doing the right thing.

thank you much :)

Almost everyone who uses internet eventually uploads/publishes some stuff. Photos and art are most common. And since this community is all about posting photos of your work or photo tutorials, I think this might come handy (at least to those who have PS...).

There is a simple way to protect your image without a big visible (and ugly) watermark..

METADATA...

Metadata is essentially information embedded into your media that stays there.

Through Photoshop (most versions CS, CS2, CS3 for sure) all you have to do is go:

FILE> FILE INFO, and it will bring up all your embedded info. Simply embed a copyright warning in the correct box (if in doubt, use the HELP function on your software)

For instance, i might use "©Sound_Of_Vision_2008"

Now my image is protected with an invisible, digital watermark.. but lets not stop there.. Lets have the internet tell us any time someone posts my image with my invisible copyright!

Google alerts!, one of the best kept secrets on the interwebs.

From here, i can enter into my Search terms:©Sound_Of_Vision_2008, tell google to notify me once weekly (more if you are a big shot) and have them sent directly to your email!

Just like that, you are informed of every infraction that takes advantage of your work!

I hope you find it useful. ;)

I asked my awesome Professor to write me recommendations for almost my entire academic career, biggest of which was when I applied for a doctorate in art history. Sadly, I didn't make it (probably due to the fact I do not possess a Masters yet). Never the less, he's done a lot for me, including helping me study abroad in Denmark and assisting me in my work in Scandinavian archaeology (I should mention we're both of Danish heritage, and very proud of our Viking roots). So, I knit this for him...

Dorky...I hope he gets a good laugh out of it...worse comes to worse, he can be the envy of all the other lab rats at the Archaeology studio at my university!

So last week I found this http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/sewbot and (mostly due to a huge love for robots) decided I could make a rad one myself. Well, at least that's how it started out.
As I got going, I noticed that I didn't really have a lot of felt colours on hand, but I did have some other interesting stuff...

The result... )
