Hello folks!

I just wove my first complete and non-sucky bracelet on my new bead loom.

BUT, I'm not sure how to finish it off. I need some sort of closure - a button? Something? I haven't worked with thread before (only beading wires of various sorts), so I'm at a bit of a loss.

And, I also wanted to show off my work.

So, any ideas?

Hi,

I'm still relatively new to crochet, haven't properly learned how to read pattern. I'm trying to do Hello Kitty head in 2D. But I got stuck on her ears.

Can someone help?

I got to ~
Start: 4 ch
R1: 1 ch, 10 sc,
R2: 1 ch, (4 sc, 2sc on the end) X2
R3: 1 ch, (4 sc, 2sc increase, 1sc, 2 sc increase) X2
R4: 1 ch, (4 sc, 2sc inc, 2 sc inc, 1sc, 2sc in, 2 sc inc) X2
R5: 1 sc, (5 sc, [2sc inc, 1 sc] x4) X 2
Now I'm stuck on the ears....

Am I supposed to do them separately and sew them on? Which is not what the pictures of the finished products looks like... what am I missing?

The question isn't allowed. :)

The FO:

Pattern: $5 in Paris, by Anna Peck
Yarn: Lionbrand CottonEase in Violet (it's actually blue)
Mods: I put reverse st st underneath the arms to make sure that it would hug me. Lazy way of shaping, but it worked! I should have cast on less stitches, since as the day goes on, the sweater becomes more and more off the shoulder.

For Father's Day, I decided to add to my dad's office decor.
He's a big Pacer's fan and the entire office is painted and decked out... but his switchplate is boring...

so I played around with it.

I wanted to find a wooden one I could paint with stripes in blue and yellow, add some wooden half-circles and other stuff, but could NOT find ANYTHING I wanted, so I settled for a brushed metal plate (sorry the pic is horrible, it doesn't photograph well at ALL) and some scrapbooking supplies.

Hopefully he'll like it.

This Sunday i am hosting a Junkie Tea Party (a [you might've guessed] tea party to which everyone arrives dressed as his or her fav famous junkie) and i am ready and rearing with my Amy Winehouse ensemble. There is a problem, though: the wig i ordered won't arrive on time. Problem, yikes!
So, my dearest crafty friends, How can i make the wig myself? Wires and felt? Unicorn giggles?
I am open to any and all suggestions, so please, ladies and gents! Help!
For reference )
Thanks much for your time.

Here's a journal page I did Saturday night. I started out feeling lonely because I couldn't find anything to do/anyone to do it with--but once I started working in my journal, in my art house, I was happy.
