 Okay -
Question, crafty ones,

I make handbags and always have lots of small, weird shaped scraps leftover.  I first cut what I can for use in smaller items like coin purses and wallets, then I cut what I can into quilting blocks, but I still throw a ton of little fabric scraps away that I feel like could be used for something.  These scraps are generally either not wide enough or not long enough to be quilting squares, or to be used for any other 'traditional' use.
Is there
A) something awesome I could do with these?
B) some place I could send them to be recycled?

Thanks!

Though I've known how to knit for a couple of years now, I only really picked it up (beyond basic casting on, knitting, and purling) shortly after Christmas, when the never-ending winter started to take hold. For weeks, I've been thinking I should try my hand at intarsia. Tonight, I finally sat down for baby-step attempt number one: a small non-committal wrist band that would spare me the nervous breakdown should my star come out looking more like an amorphous blob. It was also a swell way to eat up old yarn.

Rome wasn't made in a day, but this was! I am on to bigger and better things. Things like teddy bears, and fish, and pumpkins. I don't have grandchildren, but it's nice to know that when I do, I'll be able to knit them a horrible sweater and force them to wear it. Yes, I could feasibly make them something they'd actually like, but what fun is that?

In other news, for a cool eight dollars, Marc purchased this for me, thus completing my collection of every game I ever liked. I started playing tonight. If there's a downside, it's that on the second level I always warp to world 4, even if I don't want to- if it has a downside.

And now, for no reason at all, here's a picture of my cat meowing, as viewed through my wrist band:

Well I think it's safe to say that the cozy bug has well and truely bitten!

You might remember the giraffe cozy I made for my mum's PDA? (she's so hip now it's crazy!) Well that was so fun to make, and I think it turned out better than expected, that I've spent the last week looking around for more things to cozy-up!

So although I already had a perfectly adequate and still functioning mobile phone cover already, I made myself a lamb to snuggle my phone safely!
Lamb cozy )

(Fake) sheep fur on the front, cream flannel on the back (lamb v1.0 was fur both front and back but that turned out to be too pudgey to fit into the pocket in my bag where I keep my phone, so this lamb has been on half a diet!). Flannel face with embroidered features. I had added more detail but I decided that simple was cuter in this case.

Note: no lambs were harmed in the making of this cozy!

And what could make this cuter? Why, a matching charm!

So it was my fiance's and my 3rd year anniversary yesterday, so for a present I made him his very own phone cozy. It'll arrive late but I'm going to include some yummy lollies as compensation (I'm sure that's how all the top-class lawyers win their cases, am I right? Yeah? Yeah?!)

So viola, here is Cthulu in all his manly, tentacle-y and phone-protector-y goodness!

Polar fleece outer, micro-fleece inner. That stuff feels almost like a doeskin suede,  it's awesome! I think it'd feel good to line gloves with, too. Perhaps a little too good...

It's been a while since I showed off anything, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to do so. I had a craft fair last weekend, so here are a few pieces I made for it. The pictures are a bit large, just as a warning.

The first is a pair of truly corny earrings. Follow me . . . )

Thanks for looking!

I need some advice..

What's a crafty way I can display my pin collection?

Another question..
Whats a crafty thing I could do with a bunch of magazines. I hate hanging them up on my wall.
But I hate having them just lay there.

Ideas?

Sorry to be a bum but I can't sem to find ANYTHING in the memories.

A little while ago somebody posted something about painting their guitar controller red for her boyfriend's Guitar Hero. Does anyone know where this post is? Has anyone else ever painted their guitar consoles and would be willing to share advice/pictures? Thanks!

Hello ^__^
