I made my brother a Senior year scrapbook for his graduation present. The slideshow of the book is here or you can go here and view the album. There are 25 or so pictures total.

And because I like to show off the graduate, my brother with the book )

I have spent the last month or so trying to finish this little sucker, but it was worth it. Overall, i've spent roughly 39 hours on him because i'm an idiot and decided to sew on each little individual feather.

He's a patchwork angel kitty. He doesn't have a name yet, though. The idea behind him is that he's old and broken, but he's still lovable.

You might remember his friend, Zombie Kitty, from a previous post of mine, which i would link to if i could find it.

I'd love to read any feedback you have.

I really should be working on my slippers (well they're not mine per-se, they're Isilian's from DeviantArt, who won my 2000th pageview kiriban!) but instead I'm still thinking about rainbows.

Actually, to tell you the truth I'm thinking about something that starts with n- and ends in -ap, but after my n.a.p. I'd like to do more rainbows!

This is my slice of sunshine that I made yesterday, and I'm so so so happy with how it turned out!

I'm organising another exhibition! This show is open to any one of any level from anywhere around the world. International artists are free to enter due to postage costs of their dolls Read below:

This is an invitation to be a part of Totem, the latest exhibition presented by Omnific Assembly.

Totem is a group exhibition exploring self identity through the resurging craft movement. Artists are invited to create a self portrait doll, not of how they look on the outside, but showing how they feel about themselves or how they secretly see themselves on the inside. These dolls will then be hung in the Fracture Galleries at Federation Square in Melbourne from 22nd of September to the 13th November as part of the Melbourne International Fringe Festival.

These dolls can be created from scratch (sewn, knitted, crocheted, carved, glued etc), conversions from pre-existing dolls, sculptural assemblages from any materials, found objects or anything else you can imagine. They can be a human, an animal, a mythical creature or anything else. They can be as fantastical or ordinary as each artist feels themselves to be. Artists can submit as many dolls as they wish. The venue can cater for dolls from 30cm to several metres.

The Totem exhibition recognises we live in a growing culture of alienation which results in an increasing suspicion of strangers and shame of the self. The central premise of Totem is that no matter how different from each other we might seem on the outside, we all feel the same on the inside and it expresses this through individually created dolls which expose each artists deepest sense of identity, demonstrating that the realm of human experience is the same no matter who we are.

To find out more, please visit www.omnificassembly.com.

To be a part of this exhibition please contact curator Sayraphim Lothian on them@omnificassembly.com

Please feel free to forward this to anyone you know that might be interested.

Hello Fellow Craftgrrls and boys!

I'm an idiot and hadn't cleaned out the bobbin case on my sewing machine in a long time, I just forgot, so I thought I'd post a reminder to all my fellow crafters.

Don't forget to clean out the bobbin case on your sewing machines!

Well in terms of crafting anyway. I sewed a little family of purses!  And as a warning, there are quite a few pics under the cut.

If anyone watched HSN tonight (Sun, Jun. 8), the Hot in Hollywood segment had these beautiful crystal bead jewelry sets of matching necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. I wanted to try making them myself, but I scoured the internet and couldn't seem to find a (Swarovski) coral colored bicone bead with a matte finish like the ones in the necklace below ( I don't think photo posts are allowed, so I'll put it under the cut). Does anyone know where I can find a matching color bead? It doesn't have to be Swarovski or crystal, but I would like it to atleast be glass.  I know that Swarovski makes a bead that matches the color of the clear crystal bead pictured, but I'm looking for one that has a matte finish, like the Mint and White Alabaster Swarovski beads.

Also, is there  community, within or outside Livejournal, for craft trading, specifically beads??

Thanks to all!!
