Been away from the cosplay scene for a while since there's nothing that even remotely resembles a convention here on Okinawa, but I finished my first cosplay commission and mailed it out today. I'm exctied and happy about how it turned out, and I'm kinda jealous it came out nicer than the one I never finished for myself. xD I can only hope the measurements that I was given are correct. This is also the first costume I've made using my new dressform that my dad bought me for my birthday this year. =3 Anyways, this is a manga Neo Queen Serenity costume from the series Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon. Comments and critique are always welcome, but please bear in mind that I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and prone to mood swings. xD

EDIT: I realize too little too late that my dressform is a little crooked in the pictures, but I'm too lazy to take new ones. Sorry. xD

I ordered some stuff from Fire Mountain and they sent me a free string of freshwater pearls. A few days prior, I walked across my backyard barefoot and got mulberry feet. That is to say, very purple soles. I then got a bright idea-- what if I put the freshwater pearls in with the mulberries? I mushed up the berries, added a small dash of vinegar and let the pearls soak in the mush for two days.

Here are the results. )

The 3 white ones on the right are there for comparison. Not the purple I envisioned.

While I'm here, how do you like these earrings I made?

Well ladies, I'm finally done.
I'm 37.5 weeks pregnant, and I finally finished all of the craft projects I've been working on for my son, and I have TONS of pictures for you!

Here's a little teaser:

I hope you like everything!

Yea, I made wallet. Get it? Haha.

Anyways, I'm pretty excited because it's my first project of the summer! Although technically I made it on the last day of finals (oops, should have studied for english). Basically, I started off with a couple of Yu-Gi-Oh cards and some duct tape and free-handed the whole thing. This was the result...and I'm pretty pleased with it. It's fully functional with a pocket for cards, one for bills, and a mini pocket thing for change or whatever. I put clear tape over the parts of the card without duct tape so the whole thing is pretty well covered up.

I've been crocheting in the evenings to fill in my spare time, and I made this little critter.
