Summer Citrus Jewelry Set

I'm still working on perfecting the art of caning out of sculpey, but I'm doing a bit better.

I had asked for suggestions on simple designs to try and someone recommended I try citrus fruit. I did lemons first, then oranges and then limes. I like the oranges best.

After two hours of just beading last night, here's what I ended up with:

This is Miles. He is a boy goat.

(He's also naked, but that's not his fault. I just haven't made his clothes yet!)

Miles has a very important job, and that is to help out children who are victims of substance abuse. He will be auctioned off for the Softies for Mirabel Appeal this July ('08).

If you want to donate a toy with an important job, the deadline is 25th July! (It's a Melbourne-based appeal but international softies are more than welcome if they don't mind being posted over!)
