She's 33 inches tall with her hat on and completely hand stitched.

I recently finished two other witch dolls... There are pictures of them both in my journal.

So I got a t-shirt from work that I have to wear and they ran out of all other sizes but 2XL and larger. And let me just say, no part of me is 2XL so I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions.

It's a Gildan Heavy Cotton shirt that is 100% Cotton Preshrunk.

I tried washing it in the hottest temperature my washer would go and drying it at the hottest setting my dryer would go... but since it's Preshrunk, I'm assuming thats why it didn't shrink.

I have no sewing skills whatsoever (I can mainly tack things together) and the closest craft stores we have are Hobby Lobby and Wal Mart (so that'd be where I'd go to get supplies)...

Comments and suggestion greatly appreciated... I've only worn it for one day and I already hate swimming in it!!

Later Days!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and everything!

I got an awesome older suitcase for free on Craigslist yesterday. It's large, rectangular and a beautiful deep bricky red color. I am planning on turning it into a table and storing my knitting supplies in there.

I found an image I would love to put on it. I have no skills when it comes to drawing/painting, so copying the image freehand won't work. I also don't want to paint a traced image because I want it to look more vintage/worn.

So, my question is: Does anyone have experience with Blender Pens? Do they really transfer as well as they advertise? Do they transfer color also? Any tips? Thanks!!!

Hello!

I've recently been making some beaded things - I posted some earrings I made on here a week or so ago. The problem I'm now having is with a necklace.

another picture and explanation! )
I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem, or can offer any insight into what has happened??
Thanks so much for any tips!

My uncle is getting married soon and I'm doing the favors for his fiance's bridal shower.

The shower is only for my family, as her sister threw her one already up where they live. All the women in my family are avid readers, so I'm designing pretty bookmarks to use as favors. My uncle was in a band and his intended is a music teacher, so the design will be a piece of sheet music with their names and wedding date written on it. It's prettier than it sounds.

I need help figuring out how to execute this, though. I'll be printing them from my home computer. I don't know what kind of paper I should print them on, though. Any ideas? I plan on laminating them, but should I do that before or after I cut them out? I was thinking I could print like 6 bookmarks per page, laminate the whole page, then cut the bookmarks out. Does this sound like a good idea? Also, how should I make those tassles that hang outside the book?

Thanks in advance for any ideas! =)

I unfortunately broke my wrist and have been in a cast since Wednesday. The crafty problem? I have a wedding to go to tomorrow, and Michigan Ren Fest on Sunday. It's an ugly cast, and I would like to sew some type of arm-warmer type thing to "hide" it for the wedding/to match my dress. Any ideas of how to make it or even a pattern would be wonderful. And then, for Ren Fest, I'd like to construct a sling of some type since it's not comfortable to stand with my arm for any amount of time. Once again, ideas or patterns would be nice. Ideas that won't look to modern when combined with Ren Faire garb would be even nicer, but not needed. Internet searches for "cast cover", "sling", etc. weren't helping much, all that came up were crochet patterns and baby slings. I normally have good sewing skills, but with the cast on my dominate hand it'll need to be fairly easy to sew on a machine.

Thank you!
