I'll admit that I'm pretty excited about Halloween. I bought a cheap plastic skull and glittered the F*!k out of it with Martha Stewart Glitter and her fabulous glitter glue. Finally glitter that doesn't just brush off with a touch.

Don't know what I'm going to do with this yet. I'd really like to encorporate it into a Halloween party. :P

Good morning crafty cupcakes!
This isn't turbo crafty but recently I wanted to jazz up my ride without bumper stickers or any of the like so I unscrewed my license plate frame and took 'er inside for some operations!
I have an overflowing amount of lace and ribbon (here's a tiny fraction of some haha)

and thought of wrapping some ribbon around the plate, or tie a few at the corners...
I had to play with it for a while and then once I started cutting and double-knotting,
I couldn't stop haha so here's my new license plate frame!
Ta daaa! )

Happy Crafting darlings!
Always,

Hi, I'm a long-time lurker. Not really that crafty but love looking at the stuff everyone makes :) Was wondering if anyone knows of any helpful art supply review sites out there? Specifically I'm looking for some decent watercolor pens/markers - something that has a strong solid color. Right now I'm using colored sharpies but it shows a lot of the stroke marks on the stuff I'm coloring in. I'm a total newbie and art supplies are so expensive...help?

Edit: Since I haven't gotten any responses, is there a better community to ask this in?

I have been busy getting ready for DragonCon. Not as many objects as I hoped due to a death in my extented family.

I present for your enjoyment The Gawblin' Boys.

The heads and hands are sculpy. The bodies are a wire armature with quilt batting as stuffing with fabric over that.

If you have any questions how I did these, please ask.

Hopefully this is crafty enough!
I'm moving in with my fiance this semester, and needed a dresser. I hated pretty much every dresser I found in stores/craigslist though, so I decided to go about making one. Chris is a carpenter, and the house they are working on right now wastes an absolutely phenomenal amount of wood each week.

So, here is my scrap cedar set of drawers- fun, completely free (aside from the baskets, didn't feel up for making working drawers!), and takes materials out of the ridiculous construction waste stream. It also smells completely awesome, from the cedar.

I have two friends who are getting married in the next year. Normally I'd give money, but these are the super-hippie types where a crafted present is much more appropriate.

Had the idea of doing a cross-stitch or embroidered pillowcase/sheet set, since I have plenty of time. Don't need it stamped, but having a hard time finding:
-any kit that doesn't have inferior cotton
or
-a place that has patterns and quality cloth.

Thank you!

HEY I MADE SOMETHING

This is #3 in a little series of watercolor / embroideries I am doing - I'm working on a handful of these critters while taking breaks from my other paintings ;p

So I made this book cover thing for myself and then put it up on my site as a free download.
But I forgot to post it here for some reason! So anyways, here it is! Go here to my lj to download it!

A few sets of my little felt dolls.

A comission, the Roaring Twenties and The Phantom of the Opera. )

Any suggestions for new sets? I'm kind of blocked, so I'd really appreciate it.
