Does anyone know any places to buy maternity panels?  I'd like to make maternity pants out of jeans.

So a couple of years ago, at a yardsale I got this huge bag of scrap fabrics for $2.00.  I put it downstairs, and forgot about it.  A bit ago I had watched my 1940's House DVD, and as always I enjoyed their frugality.  Everything was precious.  You saved whatever you could, and fabric was scares, so there was even rationing on what you could wear. So in the same spirit of "waste not, want not" I decided to make a quilt from my scraps.  Winter is comming, and we try to use the heater as little as possible, so it would be a useful thing to have. So the whole point of this project was to be economical, and not nessisarrily beautiful.  Function over fashion.  I managed to find a sheet to use for the underside from the salvation army for $2.50.  The most expensive part of the whole thing was the batting at $11.00.  So all in all this quilt cost me $15.50, and about 30 hours.   I happen to think, dispite my not carring, it came out quite nice.

This is what happens when no internet, too much tv and trying to avoid work collide.

I did new pendants for Day of the Dead and I like how they turned out. I painted them with sparkly paints so that they would look like sugar skulls in sunlight and it makes them a bitch to take pictures of but in person they look really cool!
