take the online hue matching test to see how good your color eye is!

http://www.xrite.com/custom_page.aspx?PageID=77

i scored 21.

0 is the highest score (which is groovy by me, i believe zero is the highest number because nothing is forever), so be happy if you get within ten!

Crafty friends I need a pin cushion pattern. do any of you have a good cute one? I want to make a few for gifts this holiday.

What do you plan on making for gifts?

my list
crayon cookies for my son's toddler friends
Fabric shopping bags
pin cushions
sweet and spicy nuts and some sort of candy.

I would love to make my husband something sadly. Nothing is coming to mind that he might enjoy/need.

oh and flannel socks for my dad if I can find a pattern.

If I have time I have some dish towels that could be dyed and embellished.

That is my list now share yours.

I can't think of the name, but you use a real egg blow it out and then wax and dip and was relief,  but I think it'd be fun to take wooden eggs and make them imitate real eggs. They'd certaintly be more durable, and you won't ever have to worry about breakability. I'm also thinking it'd be fun to take tiny rub on stickers, or regular stickers and decorate the eggs to look like real egg art.

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted here. I'm currently working on my "household saints," which are wooden/multimedia "icons" or shrines I've been creating of my personal heroes.

And now for the gift question: is it weird to give people pictures of themselves as gifts? I was going to do some collaged artwork+photos for holiday gifts, but then I had second thoughts! So...what do you think?

Last year I bought some Halloween jingle bells on clearance at Micheal's, and this year I made them into a bracelet. I also found a Halloween iron-on at Joann's this year and made a shirt. I wore both to work on Halloween, and made myself a new name tag that said "Zombie Amy needs braaaaaiiiiins!!!" I don't have a pic of the name tag, but that was just a blank name tag and a label maker. Nothing too crafty about it. I did end up making new name tags for a couple of co-workers, too, since they liked mine so much.

It's lifted off completely in certain area's and not others and I tried rubbing it back down but now it's tearing in one spot.

It doesn't appear to be lifting off in other spots, could these lift off spots be because I didn't rub it well enough in the "rub on" phase of things?

I love sitting and crafting with my kids. We got out the sculpey one day and spent a few hours molding and playing. I make most of mine as magnets for the fridge. Now, I just have to get more sculpey so I can make MORE!!!!! :)

I've been crafting a lot lately and one of the things I made is this big hairbow and the little bows on my black playsuit in the pic were put on by me to make a boring black playsuit a little cuter. I just love this material and I have a ton of it so I am going to be making all sorts with it;D

hazel

hazel obsessively collects antique photographs, daguerreotypes and tin prints. she likes to spread them out all around her in the floor and pour over each one individually. i'm almost certain that she's looking for something in particular, but the look she can give if you move to close to her photographs discourages any inquisitiveness on the subject.

So I jumped on the Scrabble Tile Pendant bandwagon....

They're great fun I must say though. Like making mini ATCs. ^_^

What I've Been Up Too )

Made with scrap paper, some ink, and some paint. ^_^ The music bird is my favorite.

Tell me what you think! <3

I am looking and suck at searching via the web but I really wanted to make a Christmas tree skirt (knitting wise) for my Christmas tree this year.  I have an upside down christmas tree and so I didn't want something normal looking for it.  Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
