Tomorrow I'm going to try resin beads for the first time. (Thank you [livejournal.com profile] sparrows07 for the helpful tutorial!) I have two questions )

Just wanted to share this AWESOME link to a post about constructing your own portable light box - I've tried so many things to make my jewelry and card photos look as good as they do IRL, and now I'm planning to put one of these babies together for sure!

Working in a bland office where Im not "allowed" to wear things that are my style, or show ANY body mods, I stick to fun accessories for the commute to and from work. So I made some cute pins that I love to wear on my winter hat. I sometimes interchange them and wear them on my scarf.

Well, it was brought to my attention this morning that someone is selling my work as their own. It is a tutorial I posted online, complete with the photos I took. Apparently this person is selling a how to CD on ebay containing multiple articles they found online and used without permission. It's just a little how to article, but I'm pretty upset about it. I have not seen it myself, but apparently it's just a cut n paste. I did put in the article, copyright me, do not use without permission yada yada yada, but my name and other info were conveniently left off. I have contacted ebay, and emailed the seller themselves (hey, what kind of percentage of sales do I get for you using my work?), but I'm not sure what else I can do. They are in the UK and I am in the US.
So my question is, have any of you dealt with this type of thing, and how do you handle it? Also, since this is a community with lots of sharing of ideas and tips, how can we protect ourselves?
Thanks for listening guys.

I bought a sewing pattern for a mandarin collared shirt. I couldn't find any asian-inspired or sari fabric at my local fabric store, so I just used this cool cotton stuff I had laying around. I'm pleased with it! I didn't use frogs to close it like the pattern called for, either. I used a toggle because I'm too cheap to buy frogs at $3 a piece. :)

I have a few yards of black fake leather upholstery fabric that I will now longer be needing and is taking space when I have precious little. It is the heavy duty and expensive stuff, which I used to re-do my sofa. Does anyone want it?

It's yours, if you provide shipping costs.

I am a newbie to knitting and was advised to try knifty knitter looms.  I bought a pack of circular ones, which I believe are for hats and scarves? (the package didn't say much).  I also noticed tons on long vertical looms- does anyone know what these are for?  I'd like to be familiar with their products so I can get what I need...their website wasn't much help either.  Also, for beginners, do these work really well?  I want something super easy.  Finally, I have no clue how much yarn to buy for a hat or scarf..the employees at the craft store couldn't help me either.  Does anyone know of any basic guidelines for how much yarn is needed for adult hats/scarves/etc.?

Thank you SO very much!
