I had an awesome Latin professor this term, who liked to use elephants as much as possible in his examples. So I made an elephant.

Elephantus meus, and a snowman. )

Greetings! Looking for paper crafts to reuse all of the holiday cards we are receiving in the mail. Preferably child friendly, as my daughter will be out of school for two weeks (eep!) and we will be staying in a lot, but of course, I will be helping so if there are parts that are more difficult and need an adult hand. Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated!

Hi guys

sorry this is a text only post but let's see what we can do with this. My partner and I have moved into a flat with single pane windows and wooden frames, unfortunately this means lots of condensation and now mould has started to grow on the frames. I remember ages and ages ago someone posted a mould spray they had made because they had the same problem and I was wondering if you guys could remember what was in it? Winter's starting to approach and I work with very small children I'd rather not have to worry about general illness at home when I can get more than I could ever desire at work.
Thanks for any help you can give :D

I averaged about 15 ends per inch, and there's 13 colors in total, all dyed by me. which meant I wound all the warps in separate bundles one big one for black and 2 different bunches for each of the 12 other colors, then 13 bundles of weft colors, using the heavier warp yarn for the black in the weft too. I wound all the weft on paper bobbins so I could use a boat shuttle.
I used an 8 harness loom, it took me an afternoon to wind all the bundles, an afternoon to dye all the colors, three days at an average of three to 4 hours to prep the warp on the loom, and then about 5 days at 3-4 hours to weave it all. the edges are finished with hemstitching and fringe. I took these pics before I went and steam blocked it and pinned it out in the back.
I'm prolly going to get about a B. XD

Christmas gifts to my sister!
purse
(more pictures and a necklace under this cut) )

I have to admit that the purse was inspired by an etsy artist, mojospastyle, who I admire. My sister has wanted a purse from me for a while, it's a decorative style I haven't tried before. I'm not selling it or anything like it, so I don't feel bad about making something so similar to mojospastyle's creations.

The necklace was entirely my own design.

also arm warmers and a cat toy )

I think I need to get my etsy up and running. I'm just a buyer now.

Since you guys always have amazing ideas, I thought I'd ask...

I have 8 of these cute little scrapbooking jars, but I was trying to come up with some ideas for maybe making holiday gifts for my mum and grandmother. Or even for just organizing things.

I have no idea what to use them for, so they're just basically sitting on a shelf, empty, and I'm at a loss.

I do sew, and I thought about maybe using one to hold buttons, but that still leaves 7 jars.
It feels like a waste if they're just sitting there.

So any ideas for organization, or Xmas gifts would be greatly appreciated. (Especially since I don't know what to get my grams, and she's getting me an Xbox 360)
:S

I am also limited on funds. I have some money, but I can't like, load up on expensive things.

Thanks in advance crafters! <3
