What creative, beautiful, organized, and logical systems do you wonderful crafters out there use to organize your knitting supplies? Specifically, how do you keep organized your balls of yarn and knitting needles?

I've seen those nice fabric pouches for knitting needles, but I use circular needles a lot, and I don't think one of those carriers would suit my entire collection very well.

I've been thinking of buying one of those clear plastic bins intended for Christmas ornaments to store my balls of yarn. Of course the problem with that system is that I'd have to lift up every tray (and then see the balls of yarn go rolling out, chased by the cats) every time I wanted to retrieve something specific. I've also considered those "crisscross" drawer organizers for socks, thinking that might work.

What do you do?

Thanks,
Traceroo

P.S. And for my fellow photo addicts, here's what I knit!

Hi all you creative people! I am hosting a princess tea party of mother's day this year and need a few crafts ideas and games. This is for elementary aged kids and their mothers and grandmothers so the kids will have a little help but not everyone is artistic (or can follow directions easily) so simple is always the best I have learned!
There will be 2 groups of 130 people and I have little prep. time the day of/night before.

crafts thus far:
1. planting "magic beans"

games thus far:
1. Musical glass slipper

As you can see I need a few more. They must be super-cheap and easy! HELP!

Thanks!
