My husband and I very recently moved in to our own (tiny!) apartment.  We had some wall art from our bedroom that we hung up, but so far, our walls are pretty bare.

We found these framed wall art pictures at our local 99 cent store.  These ones were especially awesome because they already had a matte.

We peeled open the back (which was admittedly cheap cardboard that was taped in to the back and secured with a big effing staple) and measured the original picture (6x6).

I came across this great blog ( http://bibigreycat.blogspot.com/ ) that has some amazing uploaded old schooly stuff.  Seriously, you will spend hours on this site, (TAKE THIS AS YOUR OFFICIAL WARNING).  It has amazing art for scrapbooking and collage or making cheap ass shit to hang on your walls.   So anyways, we found two pieces we liked and he sized them to fit our frames in MS Paint and Voila!

The one on the left is an etching-style picture of earth with the moon in the upper right corner.  I loved the detailed lines in the earth!  The second one is a pilot looking down on some type of alien planet and is very reminescent of comic book style art from the 50s or 60s.  My husband really loved this one.

So I know that it isn't super crafty, it was just a quick fix for my craft bug and it was sooo cheap to do that there isn't any reason that each and every one of you can't go out and spruce up your own living space with something awesome.

And really, do check out the Agence Eureka blog ( http://bibigreycat.blogspot.com/ ) because this is the most awesome s*** I have ever seen and I know you crafty girls (and guys) will be all over it.  Can you tell that I'm really excited about it? hahaha Oh, but I should mention that it is all in French, mostly, but still incredibly awesome.

I knitted this little make up bag with felting yarn and added an old button to make it closeable. Hope you like it. :)

The lovely weather has been providing its own inspiration; especially flowers and plants, green and colorful things.

Here, the inspiration was English roses in tea gardens.

Antiqued brass filigree, fabric faux flowers (say that three times fast XD), and Swarovski crystal pearls.

And a little drop of poison... )

Happy crafting. :)
