*edited because I left some good information out.*I have a bedroom window, the window is not frosted, it's completely see through. it's 39 inches long. I will cut the liners to the size of the window, sew the passage for the rod to slide through, and then put the liner behind the fabric. They're white plastic liner. It will be two seperate pieces liner, then curtain.

The idea is that they'll protect the curtains from fading from sunlight. It's very cute fabric, and I will have spent a lot of time, love and care into home making these, not to mention the money sunk into them in costs of the fabric and shipping. So I want to protect them from sun light caused fading.

Has any one else ever done this and had it be successful?

I also bought some pretty ribbons and I am hoping they'll look good on the ends of my braids, if they do, I am going to braid my hair and decorate the ends of the braid with the decorative ribbons.

I am typically not a crafty person. Sometimes I get a bee in my bonnet though. I made this at like two am for my horse to wear in a parade. No pattern, I couldn't even find my tape measure. I just eyed it, cut and sewed.

So here it is! Our theme is kind of medieval. I'll be in a goofy dress, so will the other riders.

My horse is Eric, a twelve year old American Saddlebred.

All started with this. All photos are crummy iPhone photos....

ETA: I took raw shed antler and carved these out, I didn't buy them pre-made and make them shiny. I've done ALL the work here, thanks.

I didn't know you could polish bone and antler into a nice shine until someone told me to youtube search "scrimshaw"... whoa. Shiny!

So here is a necklace pendant and 1 ring I've shined so far.
