Machine embroidery?

Inspired by one of the comments on the earlier post about interesting cross stitch patterns, I checked out urbanthreads.com and now I'm dying to get a machine that could do that kind of embroidery.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good sewing machine that can take those kinds of files, or any machines that would be best to stay away from? About how much would I be looking at spending to get one?

ETA: I also have a Silhouette Cameo that can cut fabric into various shapes, so I'd like to be able to do some machine appliqué also.

Yoga Mat Bag

I took up yoga several years ago. The one thing I didn't have was a yoga mat bag. I decided I should make one and designed this bag from one I saw on Pintrest using a pair of my dad's old denim jeans. It cost me very  little to make and most important I will  keep my dad's memory alive. For fun you can add embellishments using appliques, paint sequins, etc. tutorial here

simplicity 3823

Hi, 
I've just bought Simplicity 3823 ,the Marylin Monroe style halter neck dress off the internet and whilst I am really excited to play with it, and it is perfect for what i need...How is one expected to get the finished item on and off?
I see the neck unfastens, but if there is boning in the waistband/bodice, how do you get out of it?
I have quite a small waist, so i can't see how if I make it fit there, if it is fairly rigid, how I'd get it over my head even?

DIY: Peak-a-boo Lace Shorts
