Nov. 9th, 2003 01:47 amMy roommate's mom just made me one of her trademark "wheatbags" and I'd just love to recommend them to everyone I know. She sews 2 circular pieces of woven cotton fabric together to form a round disk, about 8" in diameter, then pours a bunch of wheatberries in to make it like a little beanbag disk, and sews it the rest of the way up. If you microwave this miraculous little jobbie for about 2-3 minutes it gets warm and toasty and smells like baking bread and will instantaneously relieve any muscle or female-related pain you might have. Apparently, you can freeze them and use them as ice-packs as well. I've got one warming my toes right now! Someone has probably already patented them somewhere, but there's no reason why everyone shouldn't make them for themselves. I love it!
