ok...i want to make a plush of king hippo from the old nintendo game mike tyson's punch out. (pic of him here)

i've never made a plush before, and i have some sketches but i have no idea where to start. are there any basic patterns for making plush dolls? where can i find them?

also keep in mind that i'd like the trunks to be removeable (they fall off in the game ;))
