The book was $0.25. It doesn't say anywhere on the book when it was published but it looks late 70's/early 80's. I LOVE the book 'cos it has reeeeeally basic instructions for slow people like me! The embroidery kit was $0.90, and it includes everything to make that pillow minus the pillow stuffing. Although, the instructions for it assume that you already know some things about embroidery, and I'm a first-timer so I don't... but I just kinda make it up and it works! The thrift store had another embroidery kit just like it only with a different design on the pillow. I didn't buy it but I think I might go back and get it if this pillow turns out ok.
