And yet another *help!* post for christmas presents.

I really want to engrave a piece of sterling silver jewelry. With a short quote or poesy perhaps. But I'd much rather do it by hand, as the engraving fonts that the stores offer are rather impersonal. Has anyone attempted to do this (sucessfully)?

ps as a thank you token, here as some ideas for small gifts or stocking stuffers:
- a holder for a pack of cards (good for guys)
- a cover for a small notebook (everyone's got to jot down notes)
- decorating contact lense cases (everyone seems to have really boring white ones)
- decorating other little things that people always have but never really think about...nail clippers, lighters, etc...even if you just hit 'em up with a sharpie, it's a cool little thing to throw in..
