craftgrrl | a hello and a question

Hey everybody :)
I've been lurking for a while in this community and I think its high time I introduce myself.
My name is Angela, I make patchwork clothing, candles and soap you can see some of my work at China Cat Creations.

Here's my question:
I have a plain white wall in my apartment....I'm pretty sure it's plaster (kinda stucco like).
the texture is vaguely smooth (smooth enough to stick things on)
I found these neato wooden stars of varying size and I want to paint them and stick them to the wall somehow. What would you suggest using? I am renting and I can't do anything permanent so I was thinking about using command adhesive, or something of the like...any product suggestions??
