These are some projects I’ve been working on lately. I’ve not yet gotten the hang of working with patterns. I still have to get a little help interpreting the instructions – especially those translated to english, so I usually just work freehand.

I got sent home early from work & needed a project for the remainder of the afternoon. This was made with some plaid corduroy my mother purchased in the 70s but never used & passed on to me when I inherited the sewing machine. It is lined in felt. There really was no plan with this, I just started cutting. It was my first bag attempt.

I made this while my girlfriend watched a boring movie & I was suffering from a bought of insomnia. Jeans are always too long for me and this is made from the scrap of a jean leg I hemmed & green ribbon. There was really no plan for this either. I use it for my checkbook & lip glosses.

This one I thought out a little further. Again, it is an old pair of jeans – this time grey denim. There were knee patches on the jeans which I turned into a nice pocket on the front of the bag for key, lip balm and whatnot. Black ribbon and a dinosaur patch for decoration. I love this bag – its my current handbag choice.
