So I decided that I want to make my boyfriend a quilt for x-mas out of all his old band shirts (nothing like waiting until the last minute). So I cut them all out and then my friend asked if I had bought fusable interfacing for them yet. I didn't realize I needed to. So I went to the store and bought a bunch and even have that already cut out. Then I looked up directions online for making t-shirt quilts (which I should have done before I did anything else). Aperantly I was suposed to iron on the interfacing before I cut out the shirts. So here is my question: should I even bother ironing it on now. Is it really nessesary. Have any of you made a t-shirt quilt? Did you use interfacing? The problem is that I don't even have an iron or the money to go buy one so if I absolutely must have interfacing then I don't think this will get done in time for x-mas. Oh and to make matters worse when my friend who told me I needed the interfacing saw that I bought white interfacing she freak out and said I relaly should have bought balck (because most of the shirts are balck). I didn't even know there was such a thing as black interfacing, there wasn't any at either of the fabric store I went to. Ack. Any help/advice would be greatly apriciated.
