Fleece beanie and scarf...
Dec. 14th, 2003 03:31 pmSo, I took the advice from the Craftgrrls a few weeks ago on how to make a fleece beanie (I believe it's in the memories now). I played around with the ideas and eventually just ended up tracing around a beanie I already had and sewed two of those traced pieces together along the top, then hemmed the bottom. It turned out really well :). I had a ton of fleece left (after making three for my friends for gifts)...so I kind of improvised a striped scarf by sewing together blocks of two colors, sewing those in half and then turning it inside out and fringing the ends.

With a coupon from Jo-Ann's it only cost abuot five dollars for all the fleece...enough to make three beanies and this scarf, and I believe I have enough left to make one more hat.
This are the first things I've sewed on my sewing machine, so I'm quite proud :). Thanks for the great ideas!
