craftgrrlI didn't want to add another help post regarding Christmas presents, but I am having trouble with a little gag gift project I can make for my mom. I was going to buy them both serious presents and then make some crafty things for them, but then my brothers asked me to join in with a trip for them. I still went ahead and made the gift for my dad.
It was supposed to be a Christmas ornament like the one someone posted about a few weeks ago that was inspired by A Christmas story. Then I went into Dollar Tree and found a nightlight with a lamp-style shade on it.
Add a cut offbrand barbie leg, some black fringe from Wal-Mart, the black doll shoe and some cut up fishnets later and I have A Christmas Story Leg Night Light!
But now I don't know what to make for my mom that would be so fun. I have made her hummingbird ornaments out of paper mache in the past and a beaded Dragonfly ornament, but those were more serious-typt gifts.
Here is what she likes: cooking and baking, sewing, bird-watching, some crafts, reading, flowers, gardening. I can't think of anything pop-culture that she likes the way that my dad loves A Christmas Story it is almost literally the only movie he watches. He just doesn't follow films well.
What fun item could I make for my mom? My budget is like 5 dollars.
