crochet question - tunisian knit + purl help?

Yeah, I need help. I still haven't picked up a knitting kit by now, which I've been wanting to do, and I need something new to work on to keep me busy during the winter break. So, I'm going to probably crochet some more in tunisian/afghan stitch since I love the look.

There's directions on how to tunisian: knit stitch & tunisian: purl stitch though and I just can NOT for the life of me figure them out! Can anyone help me with this?
