Dec. 26th, 2003 10:19 amWell, I didn't have time to get pictures, but, once again, Craftgrrl saved my Christmas!
For my Mom, my sister and my best friend I made the rice heating pads. I scented the rice with lavender oil and made the covers with black velvet and a red plaid ribbon on one side that looped so they could hang the bags when they weren't using them.
For everyone else I got travel coffee mugs at the dollar store and dipped spoons in chocolate and sprinkled them with crushed peppermint. I threw in a little envelope of flavored coffee and some little candies.
I also dipped some apples in the left over chocolate and sprinkled those with peppermint.
So next year, I'm going to get started earlier. My Dad and other family members really showed an interest in the heating pads so I will make more. Thanks, Craftgrrl! Bok! Bok!
