Skirt to..bigger skirt?

Hello all. I went thrifting yesterday and found a very nice skirt. The only problem is, its too small. I looked through the FAQs for a possible conversion to a bigger skirt. But, though there were some neat ideas in there, I couldnt find what I was looking for. This may be impossible, but I have heard otherwise. If anyone has any ideas on how to do this..please let me know. Thank you!
