Nintendo Controller Belt Buckles?
Jan. 19th, 2004 08:06 pmA friend of mine told me that they saw someone with a Nintendo belt buckle. Upon hearing this information, I've decided that I need to make NES belt buckles for myself and some friends. I've got a few non-working controllers, and throwing things away sucks! Of course, I'm not exactly sure how to go about making the buckle.
I found auctions for some on ebay, but none of them show the backs of the controller where the belt would slide in. I was just wondering, how should I go about modifying the controller so I can use it as a belt buckle? I assume the same works for Sega controllers as well? I was thinking of attaching some D rings on either side of the controller and sewing a cloth belt to one of the rings... but then I saw the auctions and they look a lot nicer than the D-ring contraption I'm picturing in my head.
Anyway, here's a link to the belt buckle auction (bloody expensive if you ask me... but you didn't...;))
Has anyone ever tried this? Any help is greatly appreciated!:)
