X-Ray Nightlight
Jan. 21st, 2004 12:10 amI'm hoping the more carpentery-inclined people at craftgrrl can help me out with this project, it may just be dumb, if so, let me know ;)
Anyway, I'm getting the wisdom's yanked out and they take those cool x-rays of your mouth where you have to have the camera roll around your whole head so you get this big 8x11 sized x-ray of your teeth and jaw and everything. I'm a little nuts and asked if I could have the x-ray and the doctor made me a copy.
What I want to make is a night light. I want it to be like a large box, painted black, with a fluorescent bulb inside, and then mounted on the wall. Any hints that come to mind? Should I use wood or plastic for the box, probably plastic since it's lighter weight, but one that won't get too hot, and any suggestion on where I could find a fluorescent bulb fixture to put inside? Thanks for any help, or for letting me know if this is a bad idea.
Really really really excited about this ~~ :)
