Forgive me

I know, everyone is asking for Valentine's Day ideas. I need one. I have been with my boyfriend for 4 months but we have known each other for over a year. We are quite committed to each other and have talked about getting engaged in a few months. I do not know what to make him. I don't want anything to Valentiney but I do want something romantic and personal.

Here are the things he likes: history, German language(he is almost fluent) and Germany, writing, art, poetry, glassware, antiques and fun thrift store finds, the marble magnets I made him at Christmas and the A Christmas Story Leg Lamp Night Light(still need to get picks, my camera conked out on me), the collage I made him, loves to watercolor, loves jazz, loves mexican food, books by Umberto Eco and Gunter Grass, movies and the finer things in life(but he and I are both poor at the moment).

Things I thought of: a picture frame covered with aluminum candy wrappers, more magnets, another collage or maybe a shrine box, a watercolor container(if I had access to a kiln which I don't).

Any other ideas?
