valentine's day thinkin

i'm new, and i was just thinking on this:

this can't be an original idea, but has anyone ever used conversation hearts to make anything? i was thinking i could make them into beads to use for some earrings or a bracelet.

i made some out of sculpey clay before, but has anyone tried preserving the real candies? do you think i could just cover them with glaze or something? because i think some earrings that say "call me" would be so so cute.
