craftgrrlHere are some things i made over the summer:
A postcard i made for my boyfriend. Made from some of my stepmom's scrapbook paper and part of an old smashing pumpkins cd booklet.
We call him Frumpy. My little brothers fell in love with him and gave him the watch thing there. The long thing next to him is Snakey, a companion made for Frumpy by my little brother. Frumpy was made from scrap fabric found at the local Hancock's.
An Octopus box for my friend who watches this community like crazy but is too lazy to join NATALIE. She likes the Beatles. Box made from a box i found in the garage, the rest of stepmom's scrapbook paper, and some ribbon from Hancock's.
This is the dirt in Iowa, which looks crazy to me, because i live in Oklahoma where the dirt is red.
This past semester my friend Lisa went through this insane program in a far-away town that allowed her to earn her aas in applied art in 12 weeks. I made her an emergency survival kit from a hollowed out book (inspired by you lovely ladies and gents. I posted asking for advice as to what to include.) and a cd with related songs.

Inside. Those things at the bottom are earplugs. Also included: matches, cigarettes, Hello Kitty barrettes, chapstick, Altoids tongue strip things, quarters, batteries, tampons, etc.
Cover of CD. She has a thing for the colour pink.
Not incredibly crafty, but a friend and i decorated index cards and spread them about the mall, a place of much sadness.
