Dylon Image Maker question

Hi,
I have just bought some Dylon Image Maker which transfers pictures onto fabric, but I have a question about it. In the instructions they say you should photocopy your photo and then use it, but I was wondering, can you just use a print out from an inkjet printer and use it?
