Mar. 10th, 2004 01:36 amI have been lurking for a whole bunch-o-months now and I just want to say that you people are amazing. I should really start being less of a lurker and let you people know when I'm stealing your ideas.
And unfortunitly I am starting it off on the wrong foot...
...I have a question (cringe is you must, and I will not blame you). I have decided to make beads out of magizine paper (I'll just make a huge stock pile to be used in future projects, but I figured it was something I could easily do instead of studying). Since I am new to crafting I really only have Elmer's School Glue. Am I okay with using this? Is there a glue that may hold for longer? Am I risking any bleeding of the magazine page's color? Any other things along those lines?
I thought that there was a page in the memories about glue...but I couldn't find it, perhaps I was looking to quickly or I was thinking of another crafting community.
And now that I've taken up way to much space, just so that I'm not completely stepping off on the wrong foot...here a picture of two recent projects I have made out of duct tape...

I made 3 duct tape roses which I planned on giving to people, but :::cough::: ended up keeping for myself.
And although it's not a very good picture, I made this duct tape purse completely out of duct tape, no cheating with paper or covering a pre existing purse. Then I coveered the edges with multi colored paper clips (Although many have fallen off) I love it because it's the first thing that I ever made out of duct tape. I literally walked into my dorm room one day and said "It's Time." And whipped it together without a pattern or anything. It's still functioning perfectly after months of use. And it's held it's shape quite well.
Well that's enough long windedness for now. Have a great day everyone.
