i made shoes! i was insired by these and i made





i bought a pair of ugly white granny shoes from target and i cut out the tongue and cut the sides so they were straight. then i painted the whole thing black using cheap acrylic paint. next i used hot glue to attach black and white polka dotted ribbon around the edge to make the whole thing look a little cleaner. then (this was the hardest part) i used a sharp tapestry needle to bore holes through the shoes. then i just laced them up with purple ribbon and now they're the cutest shoes ever! i do have one little problem though. the paint around the bottom edge has started chipping off already as you can see in this picture



i used acrylic paint. any ideas for how to keep it from chipping? thanks!
