My first knitted purse

I recently bought a cheap skein of Red Heart yarn and just started knitting. I didn't really know what it was going to be. Turns out that it's a purse. Who knew?

Here's how: I knitted a rectangle, then bound off most of the stitches and kept knitting to make a strap. Then I folded the rectangle & sewed it together and sewed the loose end of the strap to the purse body. Added a button & yarn loop closure and hand-sewed a muslin lining in.
