hey gang - finally got the chance to get some jewelry work in my busy schedule, and finish up some projects that have been lingering. new necklace pendants are done, yay!




two views of the same piece. this is solid fine silver. it is one solid piece, no hinges anywhere; the middle is origami paper with a permanant coat over it, and the stones in the bottom are neon blue apatite simulants. i'll probably sell this piece.




my first piece with a new technique - raku glaze on silver. there's some iridescence in this but it's hard to see in the picture. this is just a test piece.. the color didn't really come out as i had expected, and i have to find a better way to get the can contents to smoulder, so as to achieve the real raku effect. the answer to that will probably be replacing the wadded up paper in the can with actual paper shreds.
