It's been a long time since I posted on here ;) So I decided to do a long overdo entry!

Soo here are but a few pieces I've done lately:

I torch-fired these instead of kiln-firing. Every one and their brother was in the kiln room hogging our one lil kiln. And I knew glass if heated enough would melt just as well with a torch - I mean, c'mon, the lampworkers in the glass shop uses a smaller torch tip than I did when trying to melt bars of glass! They may not look like much, but the steps were LONG and tedious! The metals had to be cleaned to the point water just sheeted off of them instead of beading them. Then you have to set a counter enamel on the back, so the glass and metal wouldnt expand so much. Then, pickle it clean (pickle is the term for the cleaning solution). Then you gota put the enamel powder on in THIN layers, wait till it cools, pickle it again maybe, add another layer, add another layer...AHHHH
It took me over three hours to do those lil things. Lucky it didn't feel like three hours.

I then made a ring outa a pieces of silver I had left ovah, and umm...its huge. I mean, seriously. I think its around a size 11 or 12.
It's silver, hrm, kinda...well, rustic, almost as if it were pewter. But its not! It's silver! Haha, I may buff it up and sell it. I don't know yet...

Sorry for the horrid pictures of the first two. I tried to scan it, but it was so shiney...that, well...it was an odd outcome.
