Mar. 24th, 2004 10:24 amhas anyone ever covered a roller shade with fabric. i found this online: http://www.decorating4less.com/pages/fabricshade.htm but i wanted to see if anyone had any other tips or tricks they could share with me. i'm making on to match this bathroom http://www.livejournal.com/community/hip_domestics/600251.html but this is my first attempt and i don't want to screw it up. i guess my main fear is that i'll go through all this work and then the shade won't work anymore.
FYI - i bought white pique fabric (which is fairly lightweight) and some aqua colored bias tape to run on the vertical edges on both sides. i also got some dingle ball trim (don't know if that's what it's really called, but that's what i call it) to go on the bottom horizontal part with along the bar you pull on to make the shade go down.
any and all suggestions are appreciated. thanks in advance.
